Back with a bang, Pauline Bremer says she is loving every minute of her football.

The German forward has kicked-off the 2019/20 season in incredible form, bagging four goals in three games with braces against Lugano and Reading in a matter of days.

Having endured a difficult two years, plagued with injury since joining City in August 2017, the 23-year-old asserts her woes are behind her and she is ready to show what she can do.

“I’m really happy,” Bremer declared. “I’m enjoying every minute I can be on the pitch and it feels even better to score.

“It’s been a tough two years, but I’m out of injury now.”

City completed a superb week with our third win of three, following our Manchester Derby and Champions League Round of 32 successes.

Bremer is delighted with her side’s start and hopes Nick Cushing’s side can build momentum as the season kicks in fully.

“It’s massively important to start strongly,” she added. “We know this is a really competitive league and we have to win every game and get all the points we can get.

“It’s really important to stay focused. We’ve had a lot of games and travel but I thought we were really good. We didn’t give them a chance at any points.

“It was hot but that was the case for both teams. I like playing in the sun – it’s better than the rain!

“We can’t afford to drop points if we want to win the league. We’ve had a great start and it’s important to keep switched on to win the next game.”
