Pauline Bremer says she’s enjoying her football after bagging an FA Cup hat-trick in the 10-0 win over Ipswich.

She is City’s main source of goals this season, having bagged 22 in all competitions already.

And it wasn’t just her sharpness in front of goal that impressed against the Tractor Girls – her all-round game was superb as she held the ball up for others and looked to link play.

The German admits she is thriving and playing on instinct, a by-product of being fully fit with plenty of matches under her belt.

“I feel brilliant,” she said. “Fit and healthy, that’s the main thing.

“I enjoy playing a lot at the moment.

“I don’t really think a lot when I get the ball, I just try to score.

“Of course, it’s all about my teammates giving me the right passes.

“There were some really good assists today. It’s the work of the whole team and I just finish chances off!”

City’s win over Ipswich means we are into Monday’s draw for the quarter-finals as we look to win the Women’s FA Cup for the third time in four seasons.

Our last success came in May as we beat West Ham 3-0 in the final at Wembley.

Bremer’s sights are now firmly set on defending our crown, but she admits there are plenty of difficult hurdles to overcome in the meantime.

“We were in the final last year, which was amazing, and of course we want to defend our trophy,” she said.

“There’s a long way to go. We have to take each game at a time, especially the games where on paper you should be dominant, sometimes these are the hardest.

“You have to be professional and hopefully we can make it to the final again.”

The draw for the next round will take place on Monday 17 February at 8.45pm. We’ll bring you details of that as soon as we have them right here on ManCity.com.

Tickets for all home games are available online or at the Etihad Stadium Ticket Office.
