When Pauline Bremer joined Manchester City in 2017, she was full of optimism about the challenge that lay ahead.
And things started well. She was named in the starting line-up for the game against Everton in October 2017 and scored her first goal 18 minutes into her debut.

But soon after she suffered a broken leg after a heavy challenge by Everton defender Gabrielle George that kept her out for over a year.
She’s back now, though, and she was named in the side that beat Sheffield United 6-0 earlier this week.
Pauline spoke to CityTV about her injury and recovery, a revealing insight into the difficulties of top-level sport.
