Celebrating ten years of professional Women's football at Manchester City with a trip down memory lane...
On 24 January 2014, Manchester City announced the official professional relaunch of our Women’s team.
A decade on, the Club boasts an array of international stars, as well as eight major trophies in the cabinet.
With the Joie Stadium arriving in 2015 and plans recently submitted for a purpose-built training facility in 2025, City continue to break new ground both on and off the pitch.
However, the tireless efforts of our original Ladies team paved the way for that success.
Having first been formed back in November 1988, City celebrated 35 years of Women’s football last year.
