2019 has been an excellent year for City’s women’s first team.

There have been countless reasons to celebrate as the Club and the players racked up quite a list of achievements.

Top of that list, of course, is our double cup win, as we lifted our second FA Cup and won the Contiental Cup for the third time.

A win in the first Manchester derby of the professional era – played in front of a FA WSL record crowd at the Etihad Stadium – will also live long in the memory, whilst there were plenty of individual accomplishments to celebrate, too.

Three City players were named in the 2018/19 PFA Team of the Year, with Georgia Stanway, Steph Houghton and former striker Nikita Parris also winning the PFA Young Player of the Year, PFA Merit Award and FWA Footballer of the Year, respectively.

Demi Stokes and Georgia Stanway both clocked up their 100th appearances for the Club, whilst our Lionesses representatives were involved in some unforgettable moments at international level.

Steph Houghton captained England to a first SheBelieves Cup triumph in February and six City players featured as Phil Neville’s side played in front of a record crowd of 77, 768 at Wembley Stadium in November.
