Manchester City's women's team enjoyed a training session blessed with glorious sunshine on a scorcher of a day at the City Football Academy.

From the smiles on both the old and new faces alike, the weather seemed to perk up the whole squad during our early pre-season preparations.

City’s Lionesses contingent were absent as they enjoyed their extended break from domestic duty, but new signings Laura Coombs, Aoife Manion and Matilde Fidalgo all featured among other, more familiar, names.

The squad took part in some fun team bonding exercises while as they begin the process of regaining full match fitness ahead of the new campaign.

City have over a month to prepare for their first WSL game of the 2019/20 season, but the anticipation is already building ahead of the derby clash against Manchester United at the Etihad on Saturday 7 September.
