It’s no secret that one of Manchester City’s main ambitions is to develop young footballing talent.

Budding footballers from around the world dream of donning the sky blue shirt, training at the state-of-the-art City Football Academy, learning from and alongside the world’s best.

Since the Club were awarded Regional Talent Club status, City’s women’s Academy has gone from strength to strength, seeing youngsters progress to the first team and make their debuts at senior international level, in addition to lifting silverware.

In celebration, Club Photographer Tom Flathers has documented the amazing work of the Academy and our achievements, highlighting some of the best moments across our teams – from our Under-10s to our first team.

“I’ve worked really closely in the women’s set-up over the last few seasons and I’ve seen the incredible success of Academy players reaching the first team,” he explained.

“I wanted to document the great work of the Academy throughout the season, share the inspirational stories.”
