City received a major boost ahead of Wednesday night's Women's Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid, as Georgia Stanway and Demi Stokes returned to training.

The full-back missed the weekend victory over Birmingham City after picking up an injury on international duty, while Stanway has been sidelined with a hamstring problem sustained in the 7-1 triumph over Lugano in the Round of 32.

Both joined in the open session ahead of the first leg of our last 16 encounter and while Stokes is in line for a return at the Academy Stadium, Nick Cushing revealed the Champions League game has come too soon for his young midfielder.
