Bernardo Silva's strike against Newcastle United on Saturday was our 1000th home goal in the Premier League era.

The Portugal international poked home our second in the 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium after Phil Foden‘s magical opener.

Not only did that goal seal an important three points in the 2022/23 title race, it also marked four figures of home league goals since 1992/93.

This season is our 26th top flight campaign in that time, with the 63-goal haul in 19 matches in 2013/14 the outstanding year.

Our 61 goals in 2017/18, the season of Pep Guardiola‘s first Premier League title, is the next best tally.

In total, 356 of the 1000 goals have come during Guardiola‘s reign at the Etihad Stadium.

Sergio Aguero is City’s most prolific player in terms of goals at home, notching 106 in the Premier League.

Maine Road was our home for our first six Premier League campaigns, during which we scored 160 home goals.

That means we have hit a total of 840 league goals at the Etihad Stadium since our first match here in 2003.
