City first won the FA Cup all the way back in 1904.

A different trophy was used back then, before the current iconic design became synonymous with the world’s oldest club competition.

HH Sheikh Mansour purchased the silverware back in 2021 and gifted it to the National Football Museum, with a replica also featured on our Etihad Stadium tour.

The 115 years between that success and our 2019 triumph is the longest period between first and most recent successes for any club in the country.

That original victory also came before several of our modern-day rivals including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United had lifted the trophy.

We have now won the competition seven times and will be going for a eighth success when we face Manchester United on Saturday.

Much has changed in football and society since 1904, including many of the buildings in Manchester city centre.

Last year, we took the trophy to some of the sites that haven’t changed in that period including the Central Library and Castlefield Locks.
