It’s matchday minus one for the last time in 2022 as Pep Guardiola put his players through their paces ahead of the visit of Everton on New Year’s Eve.

Since the World Cup, City have had the perfect restart with two wins from two including the 3-1 victory at Leeds United as we returned to Premier League action.

But following the unprecedented break, games are going to come thick and fast between now and the end of the season.

Everton, managed by former City midfielder Frank Lampard are next, and our boss was getting his squad ready at the CFA for our latest test.

And there was a mixture of hard work and smiles as the players showed their determination to see in the New Year with a third successive victory.
