Julian Alvarez has been nominated for September’s Premier League Goal of the Month award for his brilliant free-kick against Wolves.

While City fell to our first Premier League defeat of the season after winning our opening six matches, the Argentinian’s strike was the standout moment.

After Oscar Bobb won a free-kick on the edge of the box, Alvarez curled a delightful strike into the top corner with Wolves keeper Jose Sa unable to keep it out.

The 23-year-old is up against seven other contenders and the vote is open now.
