City reclaimed top spot from the Gunners with a huge win in our table-topping clash on Wednesday night.
Kevin De Bruyne put us ahead in the first half before winger Bukayo Saka levelled from the penalty spot for the home side.
Second-half goals from Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland then secured the points as Arsenal suffered their first home defeat of the season.
Goal machine
Haaland did it yet again - latching onto De Bruyne’s squared pass before taking a touch and sweeping a low shot into the bottom corner.
That took his tally for the season to 32 goals in all competitions with 26 of them coming in the Premier League from just 22 appearances.
It means that he has equalled Sergio Aguero’s record for most goals in a single campaign with the Argentinian hitting the same number in 2014/15.
In the race for the Premier League top scorer, Haaland is nine clear of Tottenham’s Harry Kane and 12 ahead of Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

Happy hunting ground
City’s victory on Wednesday night continued a remarkable recent record against the Gunners.
We have now won our last 11 Premier League games against Arsenal and our last seven games at the Emirates in all competitions.
Pep Guardiola has won eight of his nine matches against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in all competitions and his former assistant has beaten every other team in the Premier League apart from City.
With the title race still in our hands, Guardiola will hope the extraordinary streak will continue when the Gunners come to the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on 26 April.
Momentum shift
We moved back to the top of the Premier League for the first time in more than three months, since the dramatic late win over Fulham on Bonfire Night in November 2022.
The title race remains incredibly tight with Arsenal still having a game in hand and the two sides scheduled to meet again in the 33rd game of the season.
But City have closed the gap quickly with Arteta’s side eight points clear of the rest of the Premier League exactly a month earlier following their 2-0 win away to Tottenham in the North London derby.
We have won five of our last six games in all competitions while Arsenal have taken just one point from their last three games.
Cracker Jack
Grealish’s 72nd minute strike underlined how important the England winger has been in recent weeks.
He now has two goals and three assists in the Premier League since returning from the World Cup and it was another huge moment in a big game.
His goal at Old Trafford in the Manchester Derby was forgotten in the controversy that surrounded the 2-1 defeat but there was no denying the importance of his goal at the Emirates and his passionate celebrations in front of the City fans.
“For me, it was a great night,” he said. “That’s what I’ve been wanting to do. To score that one tonight was so important and I was absolutely buzzing.”

Possession poser
So often City dominate possession but we had just 36.5% possession at the Emirates.
The figure was 41% at half-time but we saw even less possession in the second half with just 32%.
Yet so many of the match statistics were in our favour with 54% territorial advantage, more shots on target – six to just one – and more tackles (17 to 13) and recoveries (59 to 55).
