The Blues were officially crowned the best team in the world with a 4-0 win over Fluminense in Saudi Arabia last Friday.
But now our Portuguese playmaker and his team-mates are focusing on domestic matters with Premier League games away at Everton on Wednesday and at home to Sheffield United next Saturday to come before the year is out.
“Of course we are very happy with the trophy and very happy with the performance but it’s time to try to get some results in the Premier League,” said Bernardo.

“First, we have to focus on the games left this month as it is going to be a very tough month with Everton, then Sheffield United and then Huddersfield in the FA Cup.
“Now we are really focused on the domestic competitions – especially the Premier League as we are not in a very good position.
“We can think about Copenhagen in the Champions League later on as we have some tough, tough games coming up.”
Reflecting on the victory over Fluminense in the Club World Cup final, Bernardo says scoring in the first minute couldn’t have provided a better platform for what ultimately was a comprehensive win over the Brazilians.
“Scoring very early in the game helped us control the tempo of the game,” he added
“It helped us being confident and going to the next stage of the game with a different perspective.
“But it was very difficult to press them as they had a lot of quality.
“Just looking at the score it looks like an easy game, but it really wasn’t – we have a lot of respect for this team.”
