The youngster struck his first ever top-flight goal in stoppage time to earn three precious points at St James’ Park.
Bernardo Silva had given us the lead after 26 minutes, before quick goals from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon saw us behind at the break.
Kevin De Bruyne was intorduced with 69 minutes on the clock and the Belgian calmly slotted us level, before assisting Bobb’s winner, which sparked jubilant scenes in the City dugout and the packed away end.
“It’s an amazing feeling,” said Bobb. “Just watching from the bench it was a high tempo match. When I got the shout that I was coming on, the manager told me to go on and score, thankfully I could do that.
“It’s a lifelong dream [to score in the Premier League]. To do it with the best team in the world, I can’t explain it.
“We could hear them [City fans] all game. They helped us a lot today.
“We have to say thank you, this win is for them.”
De Bruyne, who made his return from long-term injury last weekend in the FA Cup third round victory over Huddersfield Town, stole the show at St James’ Park.
“I said thank you to him after,” revealed Bobb. “He’s the only one in the world who can do that. To play with him is great.
“Not only one of the greatest players in the Premier League, he’s a nice guy too and helps the young players a lot.
“He’s one of our captains. He definitely helps the team.”
