PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW

The City boss said he is expecting a tough test against Andoni Iraola’s side in his pre-match news conference.

“They have a specific way to play and it works,” he said. “They have had a really good season so far and they have quality players and the ideas that they have.

“It would be boring if every team played in the same way in all the leagues. They have a specific way and they do it really well.

“We have to read the game. They were our first defeat in the Premier League this season.”

      PREVIOUS MEETING

We travelled to Bournemouth in the Premier League in November and were narrowly beaten 2-1.

Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson scored in each half before a late Josko Gvardiol goal saw us pushing for an equaliser into the final minutes.

It brought to an end to a 33-game run without defeat in the top-flight, which stretched back nearly 12 months.

      LAST TIME OUT

City were held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton at the Etihad Stadium despite twice taking the lead.

Erling Haaland, from the spot, and Omar Marmoush were on target for the Blues but we had to settle for a point.
