Pep Guardiola‘s side begin our hunt for a record breaking fourth successive title against Vincent Kompany’s newly promoted Burnley.
It kicks off at 20:00 (UK) on Friday 11 August before the rest of the league play their first games over the weekend.
We head into the fixture having played three pre-season friendlies and last week’s Community Shield since completing an historic Treble in June.
It will be our second reunion with Club legend Kompany since the Belgian took charge at Turf Moor having defeated his then second tier side 6-0 in our FA Cup quarter-final clash in March.
Burnley enjoyed an incredible season on the whole in 2022/23, picking up 101 points on their way to the Championship title.
