Team news
City’s long injury list means Sergio Aguero (knee), Joao Cancelo (foot), Bernardo Silva (muscular) and Gabriel Jesus (muscular) will all miss the trip to Turf Moor.
Ilkay Gundogan and John Stones are doubtful at this stage.
Oleksandr Zinchenko is available for selection, as is Aymeric Laporte.
Burnley also have several injuries to key players.
Ben Mee, James Tarkowski, Robbie Brady and Johann Gudmundsson are all ruled out with Jay Rodriguez and Ashley Barnes doubtful.
Last meeting
City beat Burnley 5-0 at the Etihad in July.
Phil Foden opened the scoring after 22 minutes and Riyad Mahrez added a couple more on 43 and 45+3.
David Silva made it four after 51 minutes and Foden bagged his second, just past the hour.
