PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW
“Now it’s game by game, next it’s Burnley, away always tough especially the way they play.
“I have incredible respect for Sean Dyche for many years, the consistent way they play shows he’s a good manager.
“He believes what they are doing and it works.
“At the end of the season I remember how difficult it is to go there and we will try to go again.”
LAST TIME OUT
City progressed to the semi final of the FA Cup with a 4-1 win away to Southampton.
Raheem Sterling put City ahead before the hosts levelled via Aymeric Laporte‘s own goal on half-time.
However, in the second half, Kevin De Bruyne‘s penalty plus further strikes from Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez completed a comprehensive win for the Blues.
PREVIOUS MEETING
City won the first meeting of the two teams back in in October.
Goals from Bernardo and Kevin De Bruyne secured a hard-fought 2-0 win for City at the Etihad.
FORM GUIDE
City are unbeaten in our last six matches, and have avoided defeat in each of our last 11 away fixtures in all competitions.
Guardiola’s men currently sit top of the Premier League table, one points clear of second-placed Liverpool and are also through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and semi-final of the FA Cup.
After a fine run of form through late January and February where the Clarets were beaten just once in seven games, Sean Dyche’s side have lost all three of their March fixtures without scoring a goal.
Burnley are precariously placed in the Premier League, second bottom with 21 points from 27 games.
They do, however, have a couple of games in hand over several clubs around them.
