City enter the Carabao Cup at the third round stage, looking for success once again in a competition the Club has dominated in recent years.
With six Carabao Cup triumphs since 2014, Pep Guardiola’s men have dominated the competition – so much so, it was nicknamed the ‘Manchester City trophy’ by several TV pundits.
This evening, the adventure begins again.
Liverpool are the current holders having beaten Chelsea on penalties earlier this year.
When is the third round draw?
The draw for the Carabao Cup third round will take place this evening (Wednesday 24 August), following the completion of the Tranmere Rovers v Newcastle United match.
It will be screened on Sky Sports at approximately 21:45 (UK).
When will the tie be played?
The third round ties will take place the week commencing 7 November.
Details of City’s tie, including tickets, date and time will be released in due course following the draw.
