Haaland finished this season’s European campaign in No.1 spot with 12 goals.
That was four ahead of second place Mohamed Salah and five ahead of joint third place Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior.
Haaland scored four with his right foot, seven with his left foot and one with his head.
All 12 goals – bagged across 11 games – were scored in the area, with one from the penalty spot.
Haaland scored five times in the group stage – two against Sevilla away, a late winner at home to Borussia Dortmund and two against Copenhagen.
After drawing a blank in Leipzig in the opening tie of the Round of 16 first leg, he doubled his season’s tally by becoming only the third player to score five in a Champions League match in the second leg to propel City into the quarter-finals.
Haaland scored two against Bayern Munich – one in the 3-0 home first leg and another in the 1-1 draw at the Allianz Arena, a result which set up a semi-final against Real Madrid.
Haaland has finished top scorer before, too, in 2020/21 with Dortmund as he bagged 10 for the German outfit, who made it through to the quarter-finals before being eliminated by City.
The last player, from an English club, to finish top scorer was Cristiano Ronaldo for Manchester United in 2007/08.
City also finished top club for goals across 2022/23, also, with 32 – six ahead of Benfica, Real Madrid and Napoli with 26.
Haaland also tops the ‘most goals and assists combined’ charts, too.
He finished this campaign with 13, level with Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior.
