A NEW FORMAT
The new-look Champions League format will not consist of groups, rather one 36-team league phase.
All competing teams will play eight matches in the league phase.
And it was the name of Manchester City that was the first ever team drawn out of Pot 1 in the new draw that got the process under way.
Last season, City were the most-watched football club globally - the second year in a row we have held that position.
Much of that was down to our strong performances across multiple competitions, including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Premier League and FIFA Club World Cup.
It’s likely City will again be attracting TV audiences in the many millions again this season as we attempt to win the Champions League for the second time, with the 025 final taking place in Munich.
