We’ve all been at games where City have been dominating and then our opponents go up the other end and win a corner – cue ironic cheers from the home fans.

But, with practice and variation, corners can be a useful weapon for any team – particularly those who know their best chance will come from a set-piece.

Goals from corners aren’t that common but we asked you to vote on the corner you remember the most – and though there were several suggestions – two more than any others stood out.

David Silva’s corner that Edin Dzeko headed home to make it 2-2 against QPR in 2012 was today’s runner-up, with the winner coming in the previous home game that same season.

Answers on a postcard? No need; it’s a moment etched into the memory of each and every City supporter…

It was first-half stoppage time and City won a corner with probably what would be the last action of the must-win clash with United.

David Silva (again), ran over towards the City fans and was rapturously applauded as he approached.

He placed the ball down, steps back and then sends in a deep cross towards the six yard box where Vincent Kompany leaps above everyone else to thump a header past the keeper and send the Etihad wild.

It proves to be the winning goal and as a result, City move above United on goal difference with two games to play.

An historic night, a captain’s goal, and finally, the perfect corner.

Thursday’s #City30 topic – the last of the series - is: Goal

We’ve saved the best until last… and now we want you to tell us what your favourite City goal is.

Votes matter and that will decide the winner, so while we’re thinking Paul Dickov, Sergio Aguero and Georgi Kinkladze might all be in with a shout, you will determine who actually gets the accolade.

Thinking caps on!
