Both men’s and women’s squad held an open training session at a sold-out Joie Stadium as part of our City Are Back event.
Summer signings Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and goalkeeper James Trafford took part in training with thousands inside the stadium and more watching our live coverage on CITY+.
Ait-Nouri has played at the Etihad Stadium with previous club Wolves and said he believes he can improve tactically under Pep Guardiola.

“I’m very happy to be here and to start to train with my new team-mates, the coach and the staff,” he said.
“I’m very excited to start to train and play with my team-mates and tactically would be good for me [to improve].”
Reijnders, who joined from Milan, says he is determined to add more trophies following our recent years of success.
“It’s really nice here, besides the weather, it’s a great city and I’m very happy here,” he told supporters.
“I was very proud I didn’t have to think twice to make my choice to come here.
“[I want] to win trophies, that’s the most important thing in a career and I hope we will get that this season.”
Cherki, who made his debut at the FIFA Club World Cup, said: “Thank you for the welcome. I want to win all the games this year, take pleasure with my team-mates and give pleasure to the fans
“It’s good [to have played in the US] because we have more time to work with the staff and the team and that’s good.”
And Trafford, who returned to the Club he joined as a 12-year-old, said: “It’s brilliant to be back home. It’s everything I’ve worked towards.
“It’s what I’ve worked towards since I left and on loan it came to fruition.
“It was obviously a big moment for me and my family and we were all pleased.”
