Such an achievement has never been recorded before in the English game – but with the season finale in sight, four league titles is now a real, tangible possibility for our talented squads.
Pep Guardiola’s first team have enjoyed a superb campaign and remain in the hunt for both the Carabao Cup and Champions League as well as the league crown.
With six games of the Premier League season remaining we currently enjoy an eight-point advantage on second placed Manchester United.
The mathematics mean that 11 points from our remaining fixtures – starting with Wednesday’s trip to Aston Villa – would be enough to confirm a third league title in four seasons, assuming United win all their games.
However, City’s vastly superior goal difference means that 10 points could well prove sufficient to seal the deal.

Meanwhile, there’s a thrilling title denouement also in prospect for our women’s side.
With just three matches of the FA Women’s Super League campaign remaining, Gareth Taylor’s impressive squad know that a nine-point haul would secure what would be our second league title.
Though currently in second place in the table, City can assume top spot if we overcome Chelsea at the Academy Stadium in Wednesday’s huge teatime encounter.
The top-of-the-table clash with Emma Hayes’s side will serve as an effective title shoot-out with everything at stake.
Chelsea currently lead the way on 50 points from 19 games with City hot on their heels with 48 points from the same number of games.
Taylor’s charges have been in superb form domestically – and now have the ideal incentive of knowing our league destiny is in our own hands.
And with City also still in the hunt to retain the FA Cup trophy we secured against Everton last November in a competition that will be concluded early next term, a thrilling domestic double remains in our sights.

Meanwhile, the first of those four potential historic title successes could be secured as soon as later this evening with our Elite Development Squad on the cusp of what would be a first-ever Premier League 2 crown.
Enzo Maresca’s high-flying Under-23s are currently 11 points clear at the top of the table with three games remaining.
But should third-placed Blackburn fail to beat Liverpool tonight, the title will be secured without us kicking a ball.
And even if Rovers do prevail, given our vastly superior goal difference a point in our next game, away at West Ham this Friday, would be enough to clinch the title.

Last, but not least, a second successive Under-18 PL North league title is now also within the grasp of our Under-18s after a dramatic weekend.
While Carlos Vicens’ impressive youngsters were securing a superb 4-0 victory away at Sunderland in our latest league fixture, leaders Manchester United were edged out 3-2 at Newcastle.
It means that while United still enjoy top spot with 48 points and four games remaining, City are now just two points adrift – but with a crucial game in hand.
As with our women’s side, the scenario means that should Vicens’ side win all five remaining fixtures we would be crowned Under-18 North champions for a second successive season.
It means there is everything to play for with less than a month to go.
