A new CityTV documentary will lift the lid on how Manchester City prepared for the return of Premier League football during the COVID-19 pandemic.

City Restart chronicles an unprecedented period in City’s history and will show fans what has been required to ensure the Club operates safely against the backdrop of a global health crisis.

Beginning in the days before it was announced that Premier League clubs could resume training, the three-part series takes fans behind the scenes at the City Football Academy (CFA) as it adopts a new set of rules.

City Restart follows everyone involved in preparing for our first game back against Arsenal on June 17th.

CITY+ - Free to Cityzens until football resumes

It features interviews with people from across the Club, including manager Pep Guardiola and the first team squad, as they reveal how they have been working in these unique circumstances.

The documentary is the latest in-house production from CityTV, following the release of the acclaimed David Silva: Made In Gran Canaria and the Fight ‘til the end mini-series, which charted the final 30 days of our historic 2018/19 campaign.

The first episode of City Restart launches on Friday, 12 June and will be free to watch on all of Manchester City’s digital platforms, including website, app, YouTube and Instagram TV.

Episodes two and three will be available to watch on CITY+, the Club’s content subscription service, which was made free to Cityzens whilst football was suspended.

CITY+ is available to watch on website, app and smart TV and comes with a free 30-day trial, after which it is just £1.99GBP / month.

Providing Cityzens with unrivalled access to new and exclusive content, CITY+ allows you to watch full match replays of all men’s and women’s matches 24 hours after the final whistle, original CityTV productions, selected live women’s and academy games and much more.
