Manchester City are ranked as the best team in Europe, according to UEFA's latest coefficient rankings.

Pep Guardiola‘s side came out on top ahead of Champions League winners Real Madrid with German giants Bayern Munich in third.

The UEFA rankings looks at the performance of teams over the past four seasons ahead of the new campaign.

City won the Champions League in 2022/23 after reaching the semi-finals in the previous campaign and making the final in 2021.

Last season we won our first eight matches in the competition before going out to Real after a penalty shootout and also lifted the European Super Cup for the first time.

The Premier League has six clubs in the top 20 of UEFA’s club coefficient rankings with Liverpool in fourth, Chelsea in ninth, Manchester United in 14th, West Ham in 16th and Arsenal 19th.

City’s record also helped England come out on top of the association club co-efficients ahead of Italy, Spain, Germany and France.
