TEAM NEWS
City make eight changes for Tuesday’s return to UEFA Champions League action at home to AEK Athens.
Rico Lewis, Abdukodir Khusanov, Joško Gvardiol, Elliot Anderson, Enzo Fernández, Allan, Rayan Cherki and teenager Floyd Samba all come into Enzo Maresca’s starting line-up for what is our third European league phase fixture.
From the side that beat Ipswich 3-2 last Saturday in the Premier League, Marc Guéhi, Iliman Ndiaye, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Jérémy Doku and Erling Haaland all revert to the bench.
Matheus Nunes, Nico O’Reilly and Mateo Kovačić are not in tonight’s matchday squad whilst Antoine Semenyo is unavailable for selection with Maresca having revealed at Monday’s pre-match press conference that the Ghanaian winger is facing eight weeks on the sidelines through injury.
Teams
CITY XI: Donnarumma, Lewis, Khusanov, Dias (C), Gvardiol, Anderson, Fernández, Allan, Cherki, Foden, Samba

OPPOSING MANAGER - MARKO NIKOLIC
The experienced Serbian has an impressive list of honours following managerial spells with the likes of Partizan Belgrade, Lokomotiv Moscow, Shabab Al Ahli and CSKA Moscow.
He secured a domestic double with Partizan, before winning the Russian Cup twice, once with Lokomotiv and once with CSKA, whilst also winning the UAE Super Cup with Al Ahli.
And his first season in charge of AEK was one to remember, beating Olympiacos to the league title with just two defeats in 32 matches and reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League.
They’ve won one and lost one so far in this season’s Champions League.
PREVIOUS MEETING
We’ve never faced the Greek side before, but we have faced their rivals Olympiacos twice previously, with the Blues winning on both occasions without conceding a goal.
