Kevin de Bruyne scored two and assisted another to inspire City to a crucial 4-1 Premier League victory over title rivals Arsenal, propelling us to two points behind the Gunners with two games in hand.

Pep Guardiola‘s men started on the front foot and took an early lead as Erling Haaland found De Bruyne, who drove through the heart of the Arsenal defence before curling experly into the bottom corner from 20 yards beyond the sprawling Aaron Ramsdale.

We continued to push for a second goal, with Haaland coming close twice, firstly striking just wide of the post and secondly being denied smartly by the feet of Ramsdale.

John Stones doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time, as his expert header found the far corner from a perfect De Bruyne cross.

Ten minutes after the interval, Haaland and De Bruyne combined again to devastating effect, with our number nine setting up our brilliant Belgian to calmly slot in the third of the evening.

Rob Holding struck a late consolation for the visitors, before Haaland netted his 49th goal of the season across all competitions, calmly finishing into the corner from Phil Foden‘s pass.

The goal put the cherry on the cake to secure a vital three points and move to within two points of the leaders, with two games in hand.
