Confident City see off Bayern Munich in a 3-0 victory at the Etihad in the UEFA Champions League quarter final first leg.

Pep Guardiola’s men brought the intensity and desire of a Champions League quarter final from the first minute as we searched to break the deadlock.

After an end-to-end first half, the fixture got the quality goal it deserved.

City’s no.16, Rodrigo, shifted the ball on to his left foot before he curled a sublime finish into the top corner from 25 yards, to score his first Champions League goal.

As the second half got underway, it was normal service resumed and we fired in a second to get a firm grip of the tie.

Jack Grealish won the ball back off Dayot Upamecano high up the pitch, and set Erling Haaland free down the left. The Norwegian crossed it in for Bernardo Silva, who nodded home past Yann Sommer to make it two.

From then, City could smell more goals, with blue shirts flooding forward into the red half of Bayern.

And another goal was in our future as our no.9, Haaland got onto the scoresheet.

The striker’s 45th goal of the season came as John Stones rose highest at the far post to head the ball across goal, and Haaland was there to tuck it goal wards with his right foot.

This is the most goals that any player has scored for a Premier League club in one season.

The Etihad erupted as City take a three goal lead to Munich next week for the second leg.
