In baking hot conditions at the Etihad, City were firm favorites against Scott Parker’s newly-promoted side.
And it didn’t take long for us to break past their low block, as Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gundogan linked up for the latter to give us the lead inside the first twenty minutes.
City turned up the heat, whilst Kevin De Bruyne brought the style as the Belgian produced a delightful finish using the outside of his right foot to double our lead in the 31st minute.
And we made it three before half-time, with De Bruyne involved once again, setting up Phil Foden to stroke the ball home, putting the result beyond all doubt before the break.
But City kept pushing forward and our fourth arrived 12 minutes from time as Joao Cancelo fired in a low cross that deflected off Jefferson Lerma into the back of his own net, sealing our second win from two Premier League games this season.
