Learn who the Scout is backing to influence Fantasy Premier League proceedings when City face Brighton.

Pep Guardiola’s side return from the international break to welcome the Seagulls to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 21 October, with kick-off in Manchester scheduled for 15:00 (UK).

We enter the fixture looking to return to winning ways following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Arsenal last time out.

Doing so will be no easy task against Roberto De Zerbi’s team who currently sit sixth in the Premier League off the back of a strong 2022/23 campaign where they qualified for the Europa League.

City last faced the Sussex outfit in May shortly after being crowned league champions for the third successive season.

Phil Foden opened the scoring at the AMEX Stadium before Julio Encisco levelled before half-time in a 1-1 draw.

But who is the Scout championing to star when the sides lock horns this weekend ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 (UK) deadline.

CITY STAR

Jeremy Doku (£6.5m) can be a great differential option in Fantasy Premier League when City host Brighton & Hove Albion in Gameweek 9.

The Belgian scored his first goal of the season against West Ham United in Gameweek 5, collecting nine points.

The underlying numbers show Doku has boasted a significant all-round threat from that point.

His nine shots and five shots inside the box were both more than any other of Pep Guardiola‘s midfielders in Fantasy.

Meanwhile, his eight chances created ranked joint-top with Phil Foden (£7.6m) for the Treble winners.

Owned by only 1.5% of managers, Doku can exploit a Brighton side who have struggled in defence, conceding 10 goals in their last three fixtures in all competitions.

ONE TO WATCH

Kaoru Mitoma (£6.6m) will be the visitors’ main threat if he is passed fit. The Japanese has scored three goals and assisted a further three.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Pedro Neto (£5.7m) and Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison (£6.7m) are further low-owned assets.

Neto has produced attacking returns in each of the last six Gameweeks ahead of his clash with Bournemouth.

Richarlison has one goal and two assists in his last two home outings and entertains Fulham.
