The striker touched the ball around goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, held off Adam Webster and rolled into the empty net to claim his 16th goal in the Premier League this season.

Shortly before the interval, our number nine grabbed his second of the afternoon and our 600th top-flight goal under Guardiola, blasting into the right corner from the penalty spot after Bernardo was judged to have been fouled inside the box after a lengthy VAR review.

Shortly after the interval, the visitors hit back through Leandro Trossard’s powerful effort which beat Ederson at his near post.

With 15 minutes left to play, skipper De Bruyne curled a superb strike into the top corner from 25 yards to give City some breathing space with his second goal of the league campaign.
