City went ahead on 12 minutes when Phil Foden attempted to follow up Jeremy Doku’s shot, only for Maxime Esteve to poke past his own keeper from close range.
Jaidon Anthony found an equaliser for the Clarets before the break and Burnley frustrated City into the second-half- but it wouldn’t last as Matheus Nunes clawed us back in front just past the hour.
Soon the Blues were flying as impact substitute Oscar Bobb forced a second Esteve own goal as City took a firm grasp on the game.
Erling Haaland then found the fourth to become the most prolific Norwegian player to grace the Premier League.
And to round it off, just a matter of minutes later our talisman found a second on the stroke of the final whistle as we recorded an emphatic 5-1 victory.
