Gallery: Five-star City beat Burnley

Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez both grabbed a brace as Manchester City defeated Burnley 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola‘s men made the ideal start as Foden found the bottom corner from outside the box after just 23 minutes.

Mahrez then netted twice in quick succession before the break, one coming from the penalty spot, to put us in a commanding position at the interval.

Guardiola‘s men came racing out of the blocks in the second half, with captain David Silva poking in from Bernardo Silva’s accurate cross.

Shortly after the hour mark, Foden fired past Nick Pope at the back post following neat build-up play involving Gabriel Jesus, which sealed a dominant victory.
