Our match with the Tractor Boys is a Saturday 15:00 (UK) kick-off at the Etihad Stadium – meaning there’s no TV coverage in the UK.
Under Premier League rules, this day and time are subject to a blackout meaning broadcasters can’t show it as it happens.
That points to the perfect place to follow the clash with Gary O’Neil’s newly-promoted side being via our CITY+ audio commentary service featuring Alistair Mann with summariser Andy Morrison who will guide fans through proceedings on the pitch.
They will paint the pictures with words and give you blow-by-blow observations of what’s happening at the Etihad as Enzo Maresca’s men set out in search of a seventh successive victory to start the 2026/27 Premier League season.

PRESS CONFERENCE
Enzo Maresca says he’s in no doubts of the difficulty of Saturday’s Premier League assignment against Ipswich.
Blues boss Maresca is eyeing seven Premier League wins on the spin in the 15:00 Etihad encounter after previous successes over Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Coventry City, Manchester United, Sunderland and Liverpool.
But standing in City’s way is Gary O’Neil’s newly-promoted Tractor Boys who sit in a very healthy 10th spot after three wins in six matches including triumphs over Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Fulham.
Maresca knows the Suffolk side will be no pushovers.
“I said many times, they are dangerous,” the boss stressed.
“They had the entire week to prepare and can surprise us.
“It’s a great opportunity to win and go six points ahead of second.”

OPPOSING MANAGER - Gary O’Neil
O’Neil has good Premier League managerial experience after previous stints at Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he secured 15th and 14th-placed finishes in his first seasons with the two sides respectively.
He also guided French side Strasbourg to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, proving that he can help his sides compete at the highest level.
And after arriving at newly-promoted Ipswich in the summer, he’s made a promising start with three wins from six matches, beating Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Fulham.
PREVIOUS MEETING
Sammie Szmodics had opened the scoring for the visitors early doors, but Pep Guardiola’s men came charging back with a blink-and-you-miss it trio of goals all in the space of just three minutes and eleven seconds.
Haaland hit two, sandwiched by Kevin De Bruyne’s calm finish, to help us quickly overturn the shock lad for the Tractor Boys.
Haaland put the icing on the cake with a delightful drilled finish late on to bring up 23 career hat-tricks.
In the reverse fixture later in the season at Portman Road, we cruised to a 6-0 win.
