PEP GUARDIOLA PREVIEW
At his prematch news conference, Pep Guardiola said Jack Grealish will definitely be out after being forced off through in the 6-2 FA Cup win over Luton Town.
“He will not be fit for this weekend. When he will come back I don’t know,” he said.
Asked about being ready for the international break later this month, he added: “No. I need to speak with [England boss] Gareth [Southgate], I think he will not be fit.
“He has to recover well. He has had a setback, he has to recover well so we can use him as much as possible.”
PREVIOUS MEETING
In our last home league fixture against Manchester United back in October 2022, which was the 188th Manchester Derby, we secured a historic 6-3 victory with both Erling Haaland and Phil Foden scoring hat-tricks.
In the reverse fixture this season last October, Haaland and Foden proved to be the difference yet again, this time the Norwegian bagged a brace, with Foden adding a third in a dominant display at Old Trafford.
LAST TIME OUT
In our last Premier League game, we overcame Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium, with Foden getting the all important goal to secure three valuable points.
We were in FA Cup fifth round action in midweek, with Haaland scoring five times in a 6-2 victory over Luton at Kenilworth Road to secure progression into the quarter-finals of the competition.
As for United, they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home against Fulham in their last league game, with Alex Iwobi firing in a stoppage-time winner for the Cottagers.
