Pep Guardiola‘s men made an electric start, taking the lead after just seven minutes, with Man of the Match Foden expertly finishing off a stunning 46 pass move to claim his first goal of the season.

Seven minutes later, Haaland doubled the lead, connecting with an accurate Matheus Nunes cross to powerfully head in.

Shortly after the half-time interval, City were reduced to ten men after Rodrigo was shown a straight red card for violent conduct by referee Anthony Taylor after a coming together with Morgan Gibbs-White.

We remained resolute to keep Steve Cooper’s men at bay and claim all three points, registering our 300th home win in the Premier League after 503 games.
