Foden then made it three assists in his last three top-flight starts, prodding a cross into the path of Omar Marmoush to fire in our second of the evening, as the Egyptian claimed successive league goals for just the second time in his City career.
The influential Foden nearly made it a hat-trick of assists before the interval, crossing for Josko Gvardiol to head towards goal, but Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson showed superb reflexes to deny the Croatian a goal on his return to action following an injury in early January.
With just under 10 minutes left to play, the energetic Savinho latched onto a magnificent Rayan Cherki pass to add a third, as we deservedly claimed all three points, taking us back to within two points of league-leaders Arsenal with two fixtures left to play.
