Gallery: Gundogan stars as City see off Spurs

Our incredible run of form continued after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a penalty from Rodrigo and a brace from Ilkay Gundogan.

A dominant first 45 minutes was rewarded part way through the first half after Gundogan was fouled in the penalty area, giving Paul Tierney no option but to point to the spot.

Rodri stepped up and converted the spot-kick from 12 yards to give Pep Guardiola‘s side a deserved lead.

Gundogan has proved pivotal in our recent rich vein of form, and the Premier League January Player of the Month continued his incredible run as he scored two superb second-half goals.

Ilkay’s brace secured a 16th successive win for Guardiola and his team, whilst also extending our lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points.
