The newest member of the Premier League 100 Club thoroughly enjoys facing the Hammers and this time out, it only took him five minutes to find the net, finishing well on the rebound after his initial strike was parried by goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.
The goal took Haaland to 103 Premier League goals, matching Cristiano Ronaldo’s English top-flight tally in 122 fewer appearances.
The striker then turned provider before the interval, finding Tijjani Reijnders to blast in our second of the afternoon, finishing a sweet move that also involved Rayan Cherki.
With just over 20 minutes left to play, Haaland made it 38 goals across 28 games for club and country this season, capitalising on a defensive mix-up to slot into the corner expertly to claim his brace.
In form Phil Foden almost added a fourth inside the final 10 minutes, but saw his goal-bound effort tipped over the bar well by Areola, before Haaland stroked wide in the final few seconds in his hunt for a hat-trick.
The win temporarily moves us to the top of the league table, knowing a win for Arsenal in Saturday’s late kick-off would drop us back to second, but a draw or loss for the Gunners will keep up top for Christmas.
