Nathan Ake's header, Erling Haaland's clever chip and a deflected Phil Foden strike inspired City to a 3-0 Premier League victory over West Ham United to send us back to the top of the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola‘s men struck the woodwork twice in the first 45 minutes under the floodlights at the Etihad Stadium.

The first effort came from Jack Grealish, whose shot struck the outside of the post, before Rodri’s effort kissed the inside of the post and agonisingly trickled across the six-yard box and out for a goal kick.

We emerged from the interval with a similar attacking intent and found the breakthrough as the returning Ake headed in from a perfect Riyad Mahrez delivery.

With 20 minutes remaining, Haaland created history with a clever chip, claiming his 35th Premier League goal of the season, the most ever by a player in a single league campaign, surpassing Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole’s tally of 34.

Foden‘s deflected effort found the net to make it three, taking our goal tally across all competitions under Guardiola to 1000 since he arrived at the club.
