For our latest instalment of #City30, presented by Nexen, we asked you – the fans – to tell us your favourite off-the-pitch moment.
We had all sorts of responses, including tales of Cup Final frolics, Sergio Aguero’s tongue-in-cheek teasing of neighbours Manchester United and Mario Balotelli’s trips to Moss Side but one suggestion which stood above the rest: Guardiola’s appointment as manager.

To say the news of the Catalan’s enrolment had sparked excitement across the footballing world would be an understatement…
The man regarded as the world’s greatest manager with a glittering CV, managing City… Manchester was absolutely buzzing!
We would have to wait until the summer of 2016 for his arrival but fittingly, when he did make the move, he was unveiled in some style.

Commemorating the occasion, the City Football Academy hosted the Cityzens Weekend – a landmark moment in the history of the Club.
Inviting fans to the Etihad Campus, we launched the new badge, 2016/17 kit and our new manager with the CFA a hive of activity as fans turned out in their thousands to #WelcomePep!
It was a weekend of celebration – the dawning of a new era – and thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.
Who knew then what we know now?!
