The Argentinian attacking midfielder has joined up with Pep Guardiola’s squad for the first time since signing in January 2024.
He spent the remainder of 2024 on loan at River Plate before starring in the 2025 U20 South American Championship as Argentina’s captain.
He scored six times in nine appearances at the tournament, leading his nation to a runners-up finish.
Still just 19, he already has significant experience at senior level – having played 48 times for River since he was handed his debut by then-manager Martin Demichelis.
Now he’s made the move to Manchester to start his City career in earnest.
Contracted to City until 2028, Echeverri has elected to take the No.30 shirt in his first few months at the Etihad.
