Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia, Panama, Canada, Venezuela, Ecuador and Argentina have all advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition, with the first of the four clashes beginning on Friday 5 July.
And Argentina, have the one City player the Club has taking in the competition: Julian Alvarez.
Lionel Scaloni’s Argentina take on Ecuador at 02:00 (UK) on Friday 5 July in the first of four quarter-finals. They secured their place at the top of Group A with three wins.
Alvarez played in the first two games, their 2-0 and 1-0 triumphs over Canada and Chile respectively, before a well-earned break for the third fixture, a 2-0 victory against Peru.
The 24-year-old scored the first goal in Argentina’s win over Canada as he looks to help his nation secure the competition’s trophy for a second successive time.
Their opponents, Ecuador, came second in Group B after they won one, drew one, and lost one game.
If Alvarez and Argentina progress to the semi-finals, they will face either Venezuela or Canada who play on Saturday 6 July at 02:00 (UK).
The former topped Group B with three wins, while Canada came second in Group A.
On the other side of the draw, Colombia will face Panama at 23:00 (UK) on Saturday 6 July and Uruguay will go up against Brazil at 02:00 on Sunday 7 July.
Colombia advanced to the knockouts as winners of Group D with two wins and one draw. Panama placed second in Group C after two wins and a loss.
Uruguay also won all three of their group games against Panama, USA and Bolivia. Their opponents, Brazil, came second in Group D after one win and two draws was enough to see them through.
