City lifted our third consecutive Premier League title on Sunday following our 1-0 win over Chelsea. And we are only the fifth club in the history of English football to achieve the feat after Huddersfield Town (1924-1926), Arsenal (1933-1935), Liverpool (1982-1984) and Manchester United (1999-2001 & 2007-2009).
But no club has ever made it four and Dickov believes that will be the key motivator for Guardiola and his team next season.
“De Bruyne, Haaland, Foden, Grealish, Mahrez, they want to create history,” began Dickov, talking on our Matchday Live show post-match.

“They want to create history, they want to create their own legacy at this football club. They have done already but now it’s - can you do it again?
“It’s [four consecutive titles] never been done before. So if they do need anything to spur them on, Pep’s always got that there.
“No team has ever done four in a row and I think that will be the message going into next season.”
Since Guardiola took charge of City in 2016, we have lifted five Premier League trophies.
His determination to succeed and get the best out of his players has been a force to be reckoned with in the English top-flight.
And Steve Howey, who was also a guest in the studio for the live show, said it’s Guardiola’s ability to motivate that will help City push for a quartet of top-flight titles next season.

“They’ve got the perfect manager because he will not let them take their foot off the gas,” said Howey.
“It is a tough ask to go again and again and again, it’s long seasons.
“You do have times where you are physically and emotionally tired but that’s the difference between being a champion and not being a champion because they’ve been able to step up again.”
