Saturday's clean sheet saw Ederson join an exclusive club of goalkeepers.

The Brazilian is the 17th man to have been between the sticks for 100 Premier League shutouts.

He is the third quickest to reach three figures, taking just 208 matches to do so.

Since arriving from Portuguese giants Benfica in 2017, Ederson has been pivotal to the Club’s many successes under Pep Guardiola.

A revolutionary force for goalkeeping in the way he plays the ball with his feet, the 29-year-old is also an accomplished shot stopper and organiser of his defence.

Here we’ll take a look at the statistics from Ederson‘s Premier League career so far...

208

Since arriving in Manchester in 2017, Ederson has played 208 times in the Premier League.

Only in 2018/19 has he played every match in a season. He played 37 times in 2021/22, 36 times in 2017/18 and 2020/21 and 35 times in 2019/20.

He has played every match so far this campaign.

In total, that means he has been on the pitch for 18,597 minutes of Premier League football.

Three

No goalkeeper has won the Golden Glove award for most clean sheets in a season more than Ederson since his arrival in 2017.

The Brazilian won it outright in 2019/20 and 2020/21 with 16 and 19 clean sheets respectively.

Last year he shared the honour with compatriot Alisson Becker, with both goalkeepers registering 20 clean sheets.

Only Joe Hart and Petr Cech (four) have won the award on more occasions since its inception in 2004.

All of Hart’s awards came during his time at City but Ederson will be seeking to add a fourth before his time at the Etihad Stadium ends.

346

That’s how many saves our goalkeeper has made in the Premier League.

Playing for the side that has dominated English football for much of his time at the Etihad Stadium, concentration is key to making saves when called upon.

His save percentage of 68.61% means he stops more than two thirds of the shots on his goal.

5,474

The Brazilian is a crucial part of our attacking play, often starting moves that will lead to clear cut chances and goals.

He has completed a total of 5,474 passes so far in the Premier League, averaging 933 a season. His pass completion percentage is an outstanding 84.69%.

Capable of playing short and long, our No.31 also has three assists to his name when he has directly supplied an outfielder to finish off the move.

The most recent of these came earlier this season with Erling Haaland‘s goal against Brighton.

157

City have won 75.4% of the Premier League matches Ederson has played in.

Of the matches we haven’t won with Ederson in the side, we have drawn 24 and lost 27.

156

That is how many goals Ederson has conceded in his 208 Premier League appearances.

That is much fewer than one goal per game, averaging out at 0.75 goals per game.

In terms of fewest goals conceded in a season, 2018/19 was his best year with 23 shots beating him.

In both 2019/20 and 2020/21 he conceded 28 goals and in 2017/18 and 2021/22 there were 26 goals scored against him.

This season he has conceded 25 goals which, of goalkeepers who have been first choice the majority of the campaign, only Nick Pope can better.

Four

A serial Premier League winner, Ederson has only failed to lift the trophy at the end of the campaign once.

In 2017/18, 2018/19, 2020/21 and 2021/22, City have been crowned Premier League champions with Ederson at the heart of the success.

Now, Ederson will be hoping for more clean sheets in the closing stages of this season and a fifth Premier League title come May.
