Ederson’s fingertip save against West Ham has been nominated for the Premier League's Save of the Month award for August.

City’s goalkeeper made a magnificent save in the dying moments of our 3-1 victory at the London Stadium as we maintained our perfect start to the season.

Hammers winger Crysencio Summerville tried to curl a shot inside the far post but Ederson was at full stretch to just touch it on to the post and wide.

The Brazilian is one of five goalkeepers shortlisted for the Premier League Save of the Month with two nominations for stops against City.

West Ham’s Alphonse Areola was shortlisted for his excellent nearpost save to deny Kevin De Bruyne in the same game and Ari Muric was nominated for his save from Erling Haaland in our 4-1 win over Ipswich.

Arsenal’s David Raya has been nominated twice with Brentford’s Mark Flekken also on the shortlist.

Ederson also made a superb stop from close range from Nicolas Jackson in our win at Chelsea, although it hasn’t been nominated.

The scoreline was still 1-0 when he made an excellent reaction save before Mateo Kovacic’s second which has been shortlisted for Goal of the Month, wrapped up the three points.

Voting for the August Premier League Save of the Month closes at 12:00 (UK) on Monday 9 September, with the winner to be announced on Friday 13 September.
