Five City players have been included in Gareth Southgate's latest England squad ahead of the October international break.

John Stones, Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden have each been selected in the Three Lions’ 26-man squad.

England begin the break by facing Australia in an international friendly, before attentions turn back to a Euro 2024 qualifier against Italy.

They face the Socceroos at Wembley on Friday 13 October before hosting the Italians the following Tuesday, with both fixtures getting under way at 19:45 (UK).

Gareth Southgate’s side currently sit top of Group C in qualifying, with four wins and one draw from their opening five matches.

Italy are one place and six points behind them, but have played one fewer game.

A rerun of the Euro 2020 final, our City players will hope to take another huge step towards qualification with a victory.
