Erling Haaland says he’s become a better player and person during his time at Manchester City.

The Norwegian is also confident that he will continue to improve in the coming months, having already enjoyed a phenomenal start to life at the Club.

Incredibly, Haaland is already approaching 100 City goals, and has won the Premier League Golden Boot in each of his two full seasons in English football.

He’d already arrived at City with a fearsome goalscoring reputation but believes his time under Guardiola has taken his game to new heights.

“Yes [I’ve improved on] a lot of things,” our number nine told the press ahead of our clash with AC Milan.

“I try to become a better version of myself, both on the pitch and off the pitch.

“I have said many times before there are lots of things I can be become better on.

“I’m working on that, hopefully I will be a better footballer and a better human too this season.”

Haaland also says he feels ready to go ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Norway’s failure to qualify for Euro 2024 means the City forward enjoyed a prolonged summer break.

He returned to action with a goal in our US Tour opener against Celtic, in a match where he was also handed the captain’s armband by Guardiola.

And Haaland said he’s fully rested and feeling sharp ahead of our remaining pre-season friendlies and the upcoming season.

“Yeah, of course I would love to play in the Euros and hopefully one day I will but I had my longest break since 2017 so that was nice,” he added.

“My body is fully rested, and I feel ready…. it felt amazing.

“I needed it. It was quite tired. It’s going to be a long season this year.”
